December River Levels

The river levels throughout Sun Country on the Murray may be high, but the area looks amazing. The region is lush and green, and it really is a spectactular sight. Especially for those of us who have only ever seen the region in drought. Have a look at some of the photos that were taken in the past week.

Broken Creek - Nathalia

Unfortunately all the Murray River access roads are currently closed due to the high water levels. An updated list of these road access and beach closures are at bit.ly/fA3ag7. The current list is also below. We will be updating this as soon as we become informed of any changes. Although it does not look like they will be open for the Christmas or New Year Period, there are still plenty of camping sites available in various Caravan Parks around the area. There are both powered and unpowered sites. For information on any of these please contact the Yarrawonga-Mulwala Visitor Information Centre (03 5744 1989), Cobram-Barooga Visitor Information Centre (03 5872 2132) or the Numurkah Visitor Information Centre (03 5862 3458).
