Boosey Creek Cheese's WARBY RED has won the highest scoring brie/camembert style "Silliker Award" and a Gold Medal at the 2013 Australian Dairy Product Competition. It also won a Gold Medal in the Victorian Dairy Product Competition 2013 of the Dairy Industry Association of Australia. |

Lake Mulwala Woes are Under Control

At various times since about 2000 the recreational use of the highly valued Lake Mulwala has been somewhat restricted by the waterweed Egeria densa. The good news is that a survey in March 2012 found that Egeria occupied only 1% of the lake, compared to around 60% in June 2008.

Sun Country on the Murray was named as a finalist in the Tourism Marketing category at the 2012 Victorian Tourism Awards held at Crown last Monday night. Merran Socha, Executive Officer of Sun Country on the Murray said “it was a great thrill to get through to the finalist stage in one of the most competitive categories of the Tourism Awards. Entering the awards is a big job and the final document that was submitted was 30 pages. |

It’s all happening in Sun Country on the Murray this weekend, with the Foodbowl Festival in Numurkah, and the Multi Sport Festival in Yarrawonga Mulwala.
The Numurkah Food Bowl Festival features the Melville Street Market Day, Food Bowl Round Up Country Dance and Long Slow Brunch, all happening over Satuday & Sunday.
The Yarrawonga Mulwala Multi Sport Festival kicks off with junior events on Saturday morning, followed by the National Aquathlon Championships in the afternoon, and the Victorian Olympic Distance State Championships Triathlon Sunday morning. If you're not up for competing, head over to the foreshore for the Multi Sport Village, and cheer on all those participating.

The app features attractions, dining, accommodation and events for each town in the Sun Country on the Murray Region!
