A wonderful base from which to explore the north east of Victoria.
As the southern gateway to the region Numurkah is a thriving agricultural district and a number of boutique farming enterprises – cheese, buffalo meat, almonds – can be visited.
Kinnairds Wetlands, part of the Muckatah Drainage System, provides a great day out for the bird enthusiast with bird hides in close proximity to the parking areas provided at the southern and northern entrances.
The Murray River is easily accessed from Numurkah through Strathmerton and Ulupna Island which is famous for it’s Kangaroo and Koala populations.
