Expression of Interest for the Sun Country on the Murray Familarisation Tour Program
Sun Country on the Murray is calling for expressions of interest from Tourism Operators within the region to take part in our Familiarisation (Famil) Program.
Each year the Moira Shire Council is required to provide four famil tours across Sun Country on the Murray as part of the accreditation of our Visitor Information Centres.
The purpose of these famil tours is to ensure that Visitor Services staff and volunteers promoting our region are informed and up to date with the tourism product and offerings. This in turn enables them to better promote the region’s tourism operators and tourism experiences to visitors to the region.

As a local tourism business within the Sun Country on the Murray region you can ensure that you have a listing on our website www.suncountryonthemurray.com.au. To do this you need to have a current business listing on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
Expressions of Interest for the 2018 Sun Country Food and Wine Festival
16-25 March 2018
We are now seeking expressions of interest from operators wishing to hold an event as part of the Sun Country Food and Wine Festival 2018. Again our regional Food and Wine Festival will be held in line with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Council will submit an application to MFWF to have the festival featured in their festival programme enabling businesses to gain access to the significant amount of marketing.
Council requires participating operators to be responsible for coordination and management of their individual events. Events must be held between the festival dates and have a sense of community and a food and wine focus. All submitted events are expected to comply with Council’s permit and event management requirements.
To express your interest please complete the Expression of interest form and email it to [email protected] by no later than 15 September 2017.
