Barmah sits on the Murray River and Nathalia hugs the banks of the Broken Creek. You can get to Nathalia and Barmah by car, by bus and train and by air. Once in Nathalia or Barmah the best way to get around is by car.

Tullamarine Airport is an international airport and located just under 3 hours from Nathalia and Barmah. Hire a car or catch a V/Line bus or train from the Melbourne CBD.
While both towns are small and easy to navigate on foot or bikes, they are 27km apart.
When exploring the Barmah National Park, while many tracks are 2wd accessible, a 4wd is recommended. Please check the conditions of the roads with Parks Victoria or the Visitor Information Centre (Nathalia) before you leave.
